Verstappen: We won, and that's the most important thing

Max Verstappen won the sprint at the Austin round for the third year in a row, and today no one could stop him from taking victory. Partly because his two main rivals, both McLaren drivers, retired from the race as a result of an incident at the start.

Max Verstappen: "I had a good start, but then, of course, because of the incident at Turn 1 the safety car was deployed. After that I needed a few laps to get back to a decent pace, so we still have to analyze what happened then.

In any case, we won the sprint, and that is, of course, the most important thing. But we are already preparing for tomorrow, and I believe our car in race trim should allow us to fight with McLaren, since we haven't yet seen what they are capable of.

So we'll see. Of course, we have some ideas about what we can do, so I hope we can perform even better tomorrow."
