Max Verstappen: Incredible weekend!

      Max Verstappen unequivocally dominated the weekend in Austin and capped it with a victory in the United States Grand Prix. Yuki Tsunoda, his Red Bull Racing teammate, finished seventh.

      Max Verstappen (1st): "It was an incredibly successful weekend for us! I knew the race wasn't going to follow the easiest script, and if you analyse everything that happened over the course of the Grand Prix, Lando and I were running at roughly the same pace.

      I think we managed to gain an advantage in the first stint; I was able to build a small gap, and it stayed that way until the finish.

      Managing the tyres over both stints wasn't easy, but we held the lead, and I'm incredibly proud of everyone in our team for how we ran this weekend.

      There's certainly a chance for us to fight for the championship. We just need to try to make all the remaining weekends like this one. We'll do everything we can to achieve that. It's getting more and more interesting, and I'm looking forward to the battle continuing until the end of the season!"

      Yuki Tsunoda (7th): "Today I again managed to get a good start, I was able to attack confidently over the first five laps, and the pace was very decent. During those laps I gained several positions, and overall our pace was quite solid.

      I think I could have done better on the second stint, but the main thing is that I scored points in both races of the weekend. I think my task now is to score points more consistently.

      As for the incident with Oliver Bearman, of course it's regrettable that it happened, but on track we fight hard, and until that moment everything had gone well. I don't think I moved under braking, and from my point of view my actions weren't that wrong — I have nothing more to add. It's racing, and I believe I had full control of the situation, and he locked his brakes.

      We're not teammates, I'm fighting for positions in the top ten and I believe I acted correctly."
