Franco Colapinto: The car has become much better
With three races remaining in the season, Franco Colapinto has no points to his name. At the FIA press conference in Las Vegas, the Alpine driver spoke about the team's chances for the weekend.
Franco Colapinto: "I think that overall the car has become much better. The race in Brazil was a step in the right direction. Pierre had an excellent weekend, and it's great for the whole team that we got back into the fight and scored points. It's nice to see the car had the pace to compete with other teams.
As for Las Vegas, the circuit is very different from those where the previous races took place. It has its own specifics, and the asphalt is very slippery, so I don't expect anything outstanding this weekend. On the other hand, Pierre had a good weekend there last year, so we'll see.
I think we've made a noticeable improvement compared with the races in Mexico and Austin. The team is moving in the right direction, so we'll see where we end up. I'm curious myself what result we'll achieve this weekend."
