Bruno Famin left Alpine before the start of the WEC season.

Before the start of the season in the FIA WEC endurance racing, Alpine announced the departure of its Vice President of Motorsport, Bruno Famin.

The French specialist was appointed Executive Director of Alpine Racing in 2022. In this position, he oversaw the Renault Group's racing programs in Formula 1, endurance racing, and rally raids. In 2023, he was given the position of Vice President, from which he was relieved this week.

Now, the racing program in the FIA WEC is overseen by the Vice President of Alpine Tech (a division in Viry-Châtillon), Axel Plasse. Previously, the Renault Group decided to close the WEC program at the end of 2026.

Axel Plasse: "First of all, we would like to thank Bruno Famin for his work and his dedication to the Alpine endurance racing program. He played a key role in creating the project and supported the team from its earliest stages, which led to three podiums and a victory at the Fuji track.

I have already overseen our WEC program as Vice President of Alpine Tech, and now I will take on Bruno's responsibilities, working more closely with the team principal Philippe Sinault."
