      The Hollywood film F1 The Movie has achieved an Academy Award, securing the Oscar for Best Sound at Sunday night’s event. The prominently featured Formula 1 movie, which stars Brad Pitt, received nominations in four categories: Best Picture, Visual Effects, Best Sound, and Film Editing. Nonetheless, not all feedback regarding the film has been positive. Finnish culture journalist Visa Hogmander, writing for MTV Finland on the day of the Oscars, criticized the film’s nomination for Best Picture. "A minor or major flaw at this year’s gala, depending on how you look at it, is that there are actually nine films - and one commercial - competing for the Best Picture Oscar," he noted. "That commercial, directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Ehren Kruger, is titled F1." Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who was significantly involved in the project's production, had wanted to attend the ceremony but stated that his commitments at the Chinese GP kept him from being present. Hamilton, however, expressed his pride in the film and the broader growth of Formula 1 beyond the racetrack. "The sport has made so many significant strides," he remarked in Shanghai. "During my early days here, it seemed stagnant. But with the changes brought by Liberty and the steps they’ve taken, it was initially met with resistance from individuals who didn’t want much change in the sport. And now they’re realizing it has been fantastic for the sport to expand into new audiences." Hamilton also indicated that he would be part of the sequel to the F1 movie. "We’re going to start working on the second movie soon, maybe," he confirmed, adding that Netflix’s Drive to Survive has significantly contributed to the sport’s growth.
