Mercedes has changed the design of the front wing.

Before the Japanese Grand Prix, Mercedes made changes to the design of the front wing following recent reports of its possible non-compliance with regulations. A few days ago, it became known that Ferrari had approached the FIA to investigate the front wing of the Brackley team, whose flaps, it is claimed, close slower than the regulated 400 milliseconds. Rivals noted that during this time, the Mercedes flaps only closed halfway, and then an additional 450 milliseconds was required for them to return to their original position. It became known that the matter did not reach an official investigation by the FIA, but Mercedes made changes to the design to "address reliability issues." As a result, at the Suzuka stage, Mercedes will have a front wing whose flaps fully close within the prescribed regulatory time.
