Officially: Gianpiero Lambiasi moves to McLaren

McLaren has officially announced the transition of Gianpiero Lambiase to the team, where he will take on the role of Director of Race Operations. In his role, Lambiase will report directly to the head of the Formula 1 team, Andrea Stella.

"The position of Director of Race Operations already exists within the team's structure and involves overall management of the racing team," McLaren's statement said. "Currently, these responsibilities, in addition to the role of team principal, are being handled by Andrea Stella.

Lambiase has joined the list of appointed specialists as part of strengthening and maintaining McLaren's talent pool, and has also confirmed the team's long-term commitment to competing for titles.

The team's ability to attract and retain top specialists, such as Lambiase, as well as previously Rob Marshall and Will Courtney, along with retaining and promoting highly skilled employees already working within the team, is a testament to the strategic vision and culture that are organically embodied in the McLaren team under the leadership of Zak Brown and Andrea Stella, with whom long-term contracts have also been signed.

The team looks forward to starting work with Gianpiero Lambiase after the expiration of his current contract – no later than 2028."
