Zak Brown is glad that Gianpiero Lambiasi will join McLaren.
Giampiero Lambiasi is perhaps the main character of yesterday's news: it became known that the engineer of Max Verstappen and head of the Red Bull Racing team will move to McLaren in 2028.
In the official statement from the championship team regarding Lambiasi, there were no comments from its representatives, but Zak Brown, the CEO of McLaren Racing, later published a couple of sentences on his social media pages:
"I am pleased that in 2028, when Giampiero Lambiasi's contract ends, he will join the McLaren F1 Team as Racing Director and will report to Andrea Stella, the team principal.
He will join an incredible team led by Andrea, and I am excited about what we can achieve together."
In any case, for almost two more seasons, the experienced British engineer will continue to fulfill his duties at Red Bull Racing.
