Former Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya is surprised that Red Bull Racing let Gianpiero Lambiase go without offering him a similar position and salary in their team.
Juan Pablo Montoya: "Gianpiero accepted McLaren's offer because they offered him a position higher than what was or could have been at Red Bull.
Red Bull surely understood that Lambiase deserved more and could receive such an offer. I don't know for sure, but given all his achievements, Red Bull could have offered him a similar role.
I think Max will also be looking for an opportunity to leave if Red Bull can't improve their speed during the season."
