The Alpine drivers congratulated Flavio Briatore on his 76th birthday.

Flavio Briatore is a controversial figure, but his achievements in Formula 1 cannot be denied, and it should be noted that Michael Schumacher won his first two championship titles with Benetton when the team was led by this Italian manager in the 90s.

Fernando Alonso became a world champion twice while racing for the team from Enstone, when it was already called Renault, but it was still Flavio who headed it. However, Briatore's career had many twists and turns, including an official ban from Formula 1 for manipulating the results of the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix and a subsequent return to the paddock after a legal battle that lasted several years.

Since then, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge, and although Briatore can be considered a veteran of Formula 1, he remains one of the most prominent figures in the paddock – he currently holds the position of executive advisor at Alpine and reports directly to the head of the Renault group.

Today, Flavio Briatore celebrates his 76th birthday, and the Alpine F1 drivers congratulated him by recording a video message. Moreover, both spoke in Italian.

Pierre Gasly: “Hi, Flavio! Congratulations and I hope you have a great day with your family. I want to thank you for everything you do for our team; it’s always a pleasure to work with you, as we see that you are always focused on success. And your motivation is still like that of a 30-year-old!

Let’s keep working hard together, and I’m sure our efforts will pay off soon. I hope to make you happy with a victory very soon! Let’s attack, show persistence, but today is your day, so I wish you to enjoy it to the fullest!”

Franco Colapinto: “How are you, Flavio? I wish you all the best on your birthday; it’s a pleasure to work under your leadership, and I’m sure this year will be very successful for us and for the whole team. Everyone is working hard, thanks to you. I want to especially thank you for the trust you have placed in me, for your ability to properly motivate us to work hard in the toughest times.

You will always remain a person who played an important role in my destiny for me!..”
