Charles Leclerc: Thanks to racing, I feel alive.

Charles Leclerc always referred to Jules Bianchi not only as his friend but also as his mentor. The Monegasque participated in the podcast The BSMT, where he shared memories of the French driver.

Charles Leclerc: "I was 17 years old, and Jules was my sporting godfather. He was there from the very beginning of my career. I have video recordings of us at home, and Jules brought a small kart to race with me, even though I was 6-7 or 8 years younger. Those are some of my best memories from motorsport.

Every Wednesday after races, we would race together. And in those moments, I learned a lot because I was competing against older rivals, especially Jules, who was an extraordinary driver.

I have special memories associated with my time with him, and they make me happy. That’s why I never had any doubts that I should continue racing.

It was incredibly hard for me after his passing, but I never thought about ending my career because through racing, I feel alive. Racing truly ignites my passion."
