David Coulthard on the difficult situation with Lambieze's departure

      David Coulthard: "We expect him to stay with the team until the end of his contract. The difficulty for Red Bull here is that, of course, he won't leave with the laptop where all the data is stored, but the question is what information he will have in his head.

      There will come a time when the team will say, 'Listen, you can no longer work on this car, and you certainly cannot participate in discussions about developments for 2027 and beyond.' Gradually, this will erode relationships, turning them into some sort of compromise.

      I am sure McLaren hopes that Red Bull will decide to terminate Lambiase's contract early, freeing themselves from the obligation to pay his salary and allowing him to join McLaren early. But on the other hand, why would they do something that gives an advantage to their competitors?"
