Kimi Antonelli leads on the second day of testing.
The championship leader Kimi Antonelli and reigning champion Lando Norris worked on the second day of Pirelli tests at the Nürburgring, supported by Mercedes and McLaren.
Initially, both drivers continued the work started yesterday by their teammates, testing several tire options of the C3 compound in series of eight laps. Later, they completed long runs on softer compounds – Kimi tested the C4, while Lando tested the C5.
The best time was set by Antonelli – 1:32.990 on one of the 109 laps. Norris completed one lap less with a best time of 1:33.640. A total of 2106 kilometers were covered over the two days of testing at the Nürburgring.
The next Pirelli tests will take place in mid-May at Magny-Cours, where tires for wet weather will be tested, and work with slicks will continue in June – two days of testing will take place after the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.
