Honda is working around the clock on refining the engine.
Honda has announced that the company's engineers continue to work around the clock to resolve the power unit issues that led to a disastrous start to the season for the Aston Martin team.
Honda's press service published a video on social media featuring chief engineer and head of the Honda Racing team, Shintaro Orihara, who spoke about the work done but added that not all problems will be resolved by the Miami Grand Prix.
Shintaro Orihara: "As you know, the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix were postponed, but that does not mean our work has stopped. After the Japanese Grand Prix, the Aston Martin team and Honda Racing Corporation staff continued their collaborative work at the research center in Sakura, located about three hours' drive from Tokyo.
We are working around the clock to improve our countermeasures, and this work will continue alongside preparations for the next Formula 1 event in Miami.
We know that it will take time to resolve the issues, but we continue to work hard together."
