Wolff: Only one manufacturer is lagging behind.

The ADUO (Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities) system allows manufacturers to align the characteristics of power units throughout the season, compensating for any lag behind the leaders. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff shares the FIA's commitment to equality but fears that the use of ADUO – he implies Ferrari, though he does not say so openly – will allow someone to gain an advantage.

Toto Wolff: "The principle of ADUO is to help teams that have fallen behind in terms of power units catch up, but not to make a leap forward.

It must be clearly understood that whatever decisions are made, whichever team is granted ADUO, any such decision can significantly impact the results, the championship, if it is not made with absolute precision and transparency.

It is essential to understand that there is no room for dishonest games here. The FIA must use a precise and targeted approach regarding ADUO.

It seems to me that the problem lies with only one manufacturer [Honda], whom we need to help, while all others are roughly equal. I would be very surprised and disappointed if the decisions made through ADUO lead to any changes in the current power dynamics."
