Williams will be more actively engaged in training young people.

The Williams team announced that it is launching a new program focused on teaching youth about the sciences, aiming for a global reach.

Over the past three years, the team has welcomed more than 25,000 British schoolchildren aged 8 to 16 at its base in Grove, with the goal of encouraging them to study the sciences, which will allow them to choose a profession in demand in Formula 1 in the future.

But starting this week, the opportunity to gain knowledge in this field will be available to many thousands of young people, implemented through Williams fan zones, the first of which will open its doors in Miami next Wednesday.

In 2027, the team will organize special youth camps in North America for the first time, where students will learn how the sciences are applied in motorsport. In addition to theoretical classes, there will be sessions on simulators, and under the guidance of experts and specialists, young people will try their hand at solving real engineering problems.

These camps will take place during race weekends at specific stages of the season, but future plans include expanding such programs to last a full week. According to the Williams press service, this will be the next step in working with youth, although other career guidance programs, including the Williams-Komatsu Engineering Academy, are already focused on this.

Statistics show that the number of participants in such programs already accounts for up to 12% of the team's staff, with up to 87% of students stating that it was this experience that led them to continue their education in engineering fields and associate their future careers with this area.

In addition to Miami, this year, Williams fan zones will operate in Barcelona, London, Madrid, Singapore, Austin, and Las Vegas.
