Honda cautions that there is no swift solution to the Aston crisis in Miami.
"We have achieved some advancement."
Honda has cautioned that its Formula 1 difficulties with Aston Martin will not be resolved in Miami, despite intensive development efforts recently undertaken. As the mandated April hiatus concludes, Honda F1 engineer Shintaro Orihara stated that the issue extends far beyond just performance. "The work is progressing in the right direction and has provided us with the motivation to continue pushing ahead," he remarked. "After (Suzuka), we took the opportunity to keep one of the AMR26 cars on-site for further static testing in Sakura for the first time, concentrating our efforts on reducing vibrations and thereby enhancing reliability." "We have made some headway, enabling us to implement additional countermeasures in Miami and later in the season," Orihara noted. However, while competing teams are introducing significant upgrades for Miami, Honda anticipates only minor improvements. "Realistically, this progress will not visibly affect the performance of the power unit on the track, so we shouldn't expect major advancements here," the Japanese engineer stated.
