Leclerc: We will be more competitive in the race.

Charles Leclerc led the Friday practice, showed the best time in the second part of the sprint qualifying, but ended up only fourth in the final standings...

Charles Leclerc (4th): "The updates have proven themselves, it's just that the competitors have also upgraded their cars. To be honest, we expected Mercedes to remain the favorite, but McLaren made a huge leap forward. Apparently, in the first three races, they just couldn't get the most out of their car, but here they pulled everything together.

We had problems with the tires. The Medium tires worked very well, but we couldn't achieve the necessary speed on the Softs. We need to find the reason.

We know that we will be more competitive in the race, but in qualifying, we clearly have work to do. I think we will adjust the settings in Saturday's qualifying and be able to achieve more. I hope that over the distance we can make up for it. We have the necessary speed for that, let's see if we can overtake."

Lewis Hamilton (7th): "We didn't know what to expect. I was hoping we would be in better shape, but the car didn't behave very well. We'll have to work overnight to understand why we're not as fast. I was feeling optimistic and believed we would be much higher, but it didn't work out."
