Ferrari is preparing a new engine for the stage in Spa.
The Italian press, citing sources at Ferrari, reports that an updated version of the power unit is being prepared in Maranello for the Belgian Grand Prix, which will take place at the Spa circuit from July 17-19. It is expected that the revised power unit will compensate for one of the current engine's shortcomings – a lack of power on the straights. At the same time, sources within the team assure that there should be no issues with adapting the power unit, and engineers are already conducting final checks on the components. However, there is an important point – the implementation of the new power unit depends on the ADUO program. After the Canadian Grand Prix, the FIA will assess the power units and determine how far Ferrari is lagging behind the leaders and how significant changes the Scuderia will be able to make to the power unit. In Maranello, they hope that everything will go according to plan, and the updated version will appear on the SF-26 in Spa.
