Jean Todt visited the McLaren base in Woking.

Jean Todt, former president of the FIA, visited the McLaren base in Woking on Monday, where he was welcomed by former colleagues with whom he worked at Ferrari.

In the days when Todt led Scuderia, Andrea Stella was a young engineer, and now he heads the McLaren team, and his significant contribution is part of the team's return to championship level. Luca Colajanni worked in the press service of the Maranello team for over 22 years, leading it in 2001. He is now the McLaren F1 director of external relations.

“Today in the UK, I visited the McLaren Technology Centre,” Jean Todt reported on his social media pages. “I was welcomed by Andrea Stella and Luca Colajanni. They gave me a tour of the team's base, we exchanged views on the state of motorsport, discussed the current situation in Formula 1, as well as priority areas for improving road safety.

We also talked about the initiative dedicated to safe and affordable helmets (started by the FIA during Todt's tenure) and the importance of efforts to improve road safety worldwide.

I thank the McLaren team for their warm welcome and hospitality.”
