Zak Brown proposes to expand the calendar to 28 tracks.

Zak Brown proposed to reform the Formula 1 season calendar. The CEO of McLaren wants the calendar to be expanded to 28 tracks, with 20 Grands Prix held annually, while the remaining 8 would rotate and alternate every two years. This scheme could expand Formula 1's market presence worldwide while maintaining a season of 24 events. Zak Brown: "Formula 1 continues to evolve, and I see no obstacles, apart from global events, that would prevent us from continuing to grow. Different countries are lining up to get the right to host a Grand Prix. But we can't add everyone, so we have to alternate some events. Therefore, I advocate for securing 20 permanent Grands Prix and then selecting another eight that will alternate every two years. This approach will allow us to expand the geography to 28 markets while maintaining the condition of no more than 24 Grands Prix per year. The current calendar is already too congested, so we can't hold more."
