Arvid Lindblad: Our pace has exceeded expectations

      Only Arvid Lindblad from the Racing Bulls drivers participated in the sprint qualifying, while his teammate's car encountered serious technical problems during practice. However, the British Formula 1 debutant performed quite confidently, reached the final, and achieved a respectable 9th place.

      Arvid Lindblad (9th): "The pace we showed exceeded expectations. The team worked hard, and the technical innovations we prepared for this stage are working quite well. I'm satisfied with myself, as it's a challenging track, especially for a newcomer, and the weekend program includes a sprint.

      But I think I managed to find the right speed quickly, although I'm a bit disappointed because I could have performed better in the final session. But making it to the final of this qualifying is a good result compared to what happened in Miami. Overall, I need to keep working to improve in several aspects, but I'm happy with both myself and the team.

      Let's see what we can achieve on Saturday, but in any case, we outpaced everyone else in the midfield, and only the top team drivers will start ahead of us. In this qualifying, we were quite competitive, but the weather could interfere with the course of events, as it did last year. But I anticipate it will be fun!"

      Liam Lawson (did not participate in qualifying): "It's clear that I'm disappointed. Saturday is definitely a more important day, so we need to ensure that similar problems don't happen again, as I only completed two or three laps all day today.

      It's a shame it turned out this way, especially since we have a good car, judging by my teammate's results. The pace is at a decent level, and during the few laps I drove in the morning, I felt comfortable behind the wheel, so there are still positive aspects.

      Let's hope that everything goes well tomorrow, although we'll have to catch up, but we need to try to achieve the best possible result in the sprint and then give our all in qualifying. Fortunately, I've raced on this track before, although it won't be easy, that's for sure."
