In Audi, the qualification for the sprint in Canada went well...

Alan McNish, Racing Director: "As we expected from the practice results, the qualification for the sprint was quite tense – Nico and Gabi were separated by just four hundredths. It's disappointing not to make it to the final qualification due to such a slight deficit, but it's nice to see that both drivers were able to find the right settings.

All of this sets an optimistic tone ahead of Saturday's sprint and adds confidence before the main race. We still have work to do, but I hope we can find a way to make up those four hundredths and take an important step forward."

Nico Hülkenberg (11th): "The practice session was uneven, but as the day went on, the car started to behave better, and overall the feeling was good.

It's a shame we didn't make it to the final – we were literally five hundredths short, but it's encouraging that we are quite competitive on this track.

We have something to fight for in the sprint. We'll take advantage of Friday's results, continue to attack, and try to make up for it."

Gabriel Bortoleto (12th): "I'm sure I could have gotten more out of the car. The last lap was decent, but it wasn't enough to make it to the final.

On Friday, the asphalt was dirty, which also affected the tire temperatures. Nevertheless, I think we can be quite satisfied with the results. I believe we have a real chance to be in the top ten tomorrow."
