Jeep has listened to your requests: you want the Easter Jeep Safari concepts, and it plans to exceed your expectations by merging all of its most desired concept features into a single, versatile special edition. I hope you're ready to spend!
On Thursday, during Stellantis' presentation about its turnaround, Tim Kuniskis, the head of American brands, revealed who has the keys to the future. Spoiler alert: it’s him. And he’s preparing to release a Jeep Wrangler Scrambler SRT. I witnessed it, but no photos were permitted.
Here’s what I can share.
The Scrambler is a two-door pickup truck based on the Gladiator. It features four seats, and the doors will be slightly elongated for easier access to the rear seats. Additionally, there’s a side step to facilitate climbing into those back seats.
I say “climbing in” because, similar to the K5 Chevrolet Blazer, the hardtop can be removed from the back. The front hardtop panels are Wrangler “freedom panels” that detach with a few twists of some latches. Even more exciting, the second-row seats are designed to rotate (the details on this are currently vague), allowing the rear passengers to face backward with the roof off, reminiscent of a jump seat style.
The front end features a shark-nose design with the top edge of the hood angled forward. The headlights have a squarish shape. The front design combines elements from the Convoy concept shown at the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari (the main image of this article) and the Wrangler Anvil 715 Concept from this year’s Easter Jeep Safari, complete with the mail-slot intake on the hood.
The front will incorporate independent suspension. Thomas Sacoman, senior vice president of product planning, mentioned that the rear will mirror this setup, but Kuniskis later revised that statement, indicating that Jeep is “trying” to implement IRS. Thus, what will be underneath the Scrambler when it goes into production remains uncertain. The vehicle I saw was a 3D-printed model. If Stellantis successfully executes this ambitious plan, the Scrambler could debut by 2030.
Clearly derived from the Gladiator, the Scrambler will be an SRT model. At this moment, it's unclear what engine will be used, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it features a 392 cubic-inch 6.4-liter Hemi V8, as Kuniskis has confirmed that the Gladiator will receive the Wrangler’s 392 engine.
