Graham Loudon: There is not a shred of truth in the rumors about Bottas.
At Cadillac F1, they categorically deny the rumors that the new American team is dissatisfied with Valtteri Bottas, and we briefly mentioned this, but its leader Graham Loudon preferred to speak on the matter personally.
"These rumors are completely unfounded, there is not a shred of truth in them – I can say this with absolute certainty," he stated in an interview with RacingNews365. "If we look at the performance of both our drivers, they are doing much more than drivers from some other teams, as we continue to build Cadillac F1 while also racing, which is a very unusual task.
In general, with all due respect, I must point out that outside our team, no one knows what exactly we are asking our drivers to do in each specific session or race, as well as what we are asking them to do in terms of car development. Of course, we are trying to increase the speed of the MAC-26, but I must say that even before we started racing, there were rumors that we wouldn't even be able to meet the 107 percent time limit in qualifying.
In Montreal, we were just a little short in qualifying for the sprint to show better results, so all this talk is completely illogical.
To be honest, I haven't read all the rumors, but some have come my way, and it seems that their authors do not take into account the basic rules of Formula 1 at all. Someone suggests that we are going to replace Valtteri with Colton Herta in just a few races, however, Colton does not have enough points to obtain a super license – this also somewhat reflects the quality of such discussions.
I prefer not to state the obvious and think that the fans see everything for themselves. Colton has his own program that he follows; Sergio Perez is working with us on his program, the same can be said for Valtteri – and they all contribute in their own way to what we want to achieve in creating Cadillac F1.
At the same time, it is very important to emphasize with utmost clarity: there is not a shred of truth in the rumors that Valtteri's position in our team is under threat, or that Sergio is moving to another team."
