Cadillac F1 will present new products in Monaco.
This weekend, Cadillac F1 will make its debut at the Monaco Grand Prix – the new American team hopes that the experience of Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas will fully manifest on the narrow streets of the Mediterranean principality. Moreover, both have finished in the top three there in the past, and the Mexican won this race in 2022 while driving for Red Bull Racing.
For this weekend, the team has prepared a number of technical innovations, including a new rear wing and upgraded exhaust system components.
Dan Tauraiss, Executive Director of Cadillac Formula 1 Team Holdings: “Monaco will be our first race in Europe, and it’s a significant moment, although we are facing one of the toughest weekends of the year.
At each race, we take another step forward – we will strive to achieve that here as well: we will continue to work hard to accelerate the pace of progress!”
Graham Loudon, Team Principal: “Any team, especially a completely new one, faces serious challenges in Monaco. In Miami and Montreal, we made several important strides forward, and although the Monaco stage is known for its unpredictability, which promises some opportunities, our main goals are to present a number of technical innovations and perform as well as possible this weekend.
Now we are being measured by the same standards as other teams, which indicates that the level of expectations is rising. But since this is only the sixth race of our debut season, we are still focused on achieving further progress.”
Sergio Perez: “In Canada, we made a big step forward. In the sprint and the Grand Prix, I was able to fight in the midfield. Of course, there are areas where we need to improve, but Cadillac is still a very young team.
We are constantly learning and, through our collective efforts, gradually making progress from race to race. The track in Monaco is unique and exceptionally challenging, but it hosts one of my favorite races on the championship calendar.
I generally like street circuits, and winning the Monaco Grand Prix in 2022 left me with wonderful memories. Let’s hope we continue to progress this weekend.”
Valtteri Bottas: “The last few races have been challenging for me. We faced a number of issues, but since the team is completely new, this was to be expected. All of this is also part of the learning process.
We understand that progress can only be achieved over time, but I have already built a good rapport with the team, and together we are trying to move forward, becoming more competitive with each session – and that’s great.
We are facing tough challenges in Monaco, but I enjoy racing on this track, and I’m very curious to see what we will be capable of.”
