Max Verstappen: I am satisfied with the qualifying.

Max Verstappen lost to Kimi Antonelli by just 0.043 seconds in the battle for pole in Monaco. The Red Bull Racing driver is pleased to start from the front row but has indicated that he is somewhat wary of the Ferrari drivers, who have typically had excellent starts this season.

Max's teammate Isaac Hajar set the fifth-fastest time, matching his result from last year.

Max Verstappen (2nd): "If someone had told me yesterday that I would be in the front row, I would have agreed to that immediately. Today in practice, we had some difficulties with the car, so this result is very positive.

I am very happy with how qualifying went and how I drove my laps. Despite having to deal with traffic and closely positioned walls, I am satisfied.

Let's see how the start goes tomorrow. It's quite difficult to start on our car, and behind me are two cars that start very well, so we'll see. Today was a good day, and I definitely enjoyed qualifying."

Isaac Hajar (5th): "I can't say I'm satisfied, as things didn't go as I wanted. I had a terrible preparation for the final qualifying, and it wasn't the best approach.

On the other hand, I'm pleased with how I was able to recover from yesterday. Friday was a disaster – I was nowhere. Today, however, I fought at the front and was competitive, so I'm very happy.

Chances in the race? I hope for chaos in the first corner, which will allow me to move forward and finish on the podium."
