Hamilton: Ferrari will be able to refine the engine according to ADUO.
In the coming days, the FIA is expected to announce which manufacturers will be able to refine their power units under the ADUO program. However, after the finish of the race in Monaco, Lewis Hamilton revealed that Ferrari has already received information that their engine is the third most powerful, with the Red Bull engine being the benchmark, meaning Red Bull Powertrains will not receive additional hours for upgrades.
Lewis Hamilton: "We learned the news yesterday or today. Red Bull has the most powerful engine, Mercedes is second, and we are following behind. So now our team has tokens to refine the power unit and reduce the gap. But this project will take eight to ten months, so don't expect a new engine from us next week.
We will do everything we can to close the gap. For the next round in Barcelona, we will bring some new components, and I hope they will help reduce the gap to Mercedes, but it won't be easy."
