Pirelli will remain the sole supplier until 2028.

Pirelli will remain the sole supplier of tires for Formula 1 teams until the end of 2028. The FIA exercised the option to extend the current contract with the Italian tire company, and an agreement was reached with both FOM and Pirelli, which will maintain its status as the Global Partner of Formula 1 and its associated championships.

This option was included in the contract signed by Pirelli, the FIA, and Formula 1 in 2023, when it was agreed that the collaboration with the Italian tire manufacturers would last until 2027, and it provided for the possibility of extending for another season.

Thus, Pirelli will continue to supply tires not only to Formula 1 but also to the junior series F2 and F3.

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the FIA: "For many years, Pirelli has been an important partner of Formula 1, consistently delivering products that meet the highest standards – this applies to performance, technological innovations, and safety.

The extension of the contract until 2028 will provide stability for the championship and reflects the strong collaboration between the FIA, Formula 1, and Pirelli."

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1: "The history of collaboration with Pirelli has developed incredibly successfully, and all these years we have relied on their excellent technical capabilities, commitment to achieving the highest results, innovations, and ability to care for the environment.

Therefore, I am pleased that together with the FIA we will extend our relationship for another year. As we continue to push the limits of what is possible within the current regulations, Pirelli's commitment to achieving the highest quality allows all teams across all racing series to work confidently, knowing they have access to racing tires that are considered among the most advanced in the world."

Marco Tronchetti Provera, Executive Chairman of Pirelli: "We are pleased to extend our presence in Formula 1 for another year, until 2028, thanks to the agreement reached with the FIA and Formula 1.

Last year we surpassed the milestone of 500 Grands Prix, facing serious challenges in technology and innovation throughout our long collaboration and achieving success. Pirelli is not just a supplier but a strategic partner of the championship, contributing to its growing popularity through the work done together with the federation and the promoter.

Formula 1 is the best laboratory for testing innovations and the most modern technical solutions, and we are constantly improving the research and development process. In the future, this will also benefit the production of tires for passenger cars."
