Carlos Sainz: A disappointing weekend for the team

The best result for Williams in Barcelona was Carlos Sainz's 12th place...

Carlos Sainz (12th): "Overall, it was a disappointing weekend for the team. I had a good start and managed the tire condition well. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to score points, although we squeezed everything we could out of the car. We need to understand why this track highlights our weaknesses so much and address these shortcomings to better prepare for other similar tracks. A huge thank you to the Spanish fans who came to the race. Their support this weekend was special, and I look forward to racing in Spain, in Madrid, later this season."

Alex Albon (retirement): "It was a tough weekend, but we learned a lot. We were struggling in the race even before the camera issue — tire wear in such heat was a big hindrance, and there were more serious problems with the car that we still need to address. But when we had to pit to fix one of the onboard cameras, we used that time to change the settings, and I went back out on track – the continuation of the race became a test session for us. We haven't had much luck lately, but we keep working to figure out what the problem is and to be in better shape in Austria."
