Liam Lawson: We have reasons for optimism

In Barcelona, Racing Bulls scored points for the second consecutive time with two cars – Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad finished ninth and tenth, but after Franco Colapinto's penalty, they gained one position each.

Liam Lawson (8th): "Today was a tough race. We expected to be more competitive, but unfortunately, we were lacking in pace compared to the cars we were battling with. I was unlucky with the virtual safety car, which allowed Pierre Gasly to pit and come back on track ahead of me, making my race even more difficult.

We will analyze everything to understand what could have been done better to achieve a higher result. Despite such a race, there was still a lot of positivity this weekend. We showed a high pace throughout the weekend, and the season is going well so far.

The team has managed to score points in most races, which shows that hard work pays off. We are in good shape, we have reasons for optimism, so I am looking forward to the race in Austria. I am curious about what results we can achieve."

Arvid Lindblad (9th): "Overall, we had a decent race, and the team achieved a good result, finishing with two cars in the points for the second time after Monaco. However, we will gather and analyze what could have been done better, as I lost some time during the race.

We were fast in the second and third sectors, but after the start, I had to focus more on recovering lost time rather than moving up. Nevertheless, the team provided us with a fast car, which I am satisfied with.

After several consecutive weekends where we raced on unique tracks, it’s nice to show a high pace in Barcelona on this standard and fast circuit. I hope this means our car is well-suited for the upcoming tracks, starting with the Red Bull Ring in two weeks."
