FIA proposes to reinstate refueling.

According to information from the Italian press, the FIA is proposing that Formula 1 switch to atmospheric V8 engines with KERS and bring back refueling in 2031. This issue is currently being discussed with teams and power unit manufacturers.

The return of refueling would allow for a reduction in the weight of fuel tanks by more than 50 kg. The goal is to achieve a weight reduction of cars to 700 kg and below.

Rumor has it that Ferrari, Cadillac, and Red Bull are ready to discuss this proposal, while Mercedes and Audi insist on turbocharged engines.
