Hamilton: The mistake in the final affected the second attempt as well.

Charles Leclerc looked somewhat bewildered as he commented on the session's results after qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver believed he had secured pole position, but the stewards decided that George Russell did not break the rules, as he slowed down under yellow flags in the ninth corner, where Max Verstappen had gone off track. As a result, Charles will start second in the Sunday race, while his teammate Lewis Hamilton qualified third. This is Ferrari's best qualifying result of the season.

Charles Leclerc (2nd): "I am quite satisfied with today's result, considering that the last weekends have been quite challenging. So I just wanted to get through this weekend and qualifying without any issues to start from a high position tomorrow. Second place is a good starting position.

The team has put in a tremendous effort to prepare the technical updates for Barcelona and this event, and it is paying off. Honestly, before qualifying, I didn't think I would be able to secure a spot in the front row, so the result was a pleasant surprise that we can be proud of."

Lewis Hamilton (3rd): "I think we could have achieved a better result than third place. In any case, thank you all for the support and positive attitude. It's fantastic that Ferrari has second and third places on the grid. The result was made possible by the amazing work of everyone at the base.

The whole team continues to work hard to move forward. We brought some small updates for this event, and our engine department has been working on upgrading the engine for this track. I am very proud of all of us, as the hard work of the entire team is starting to pay off.

As for qualifying, I made a mistake in the final that prevented me from completing the first fast lap. Of course, this affected the second attempt, but I am still satisfied despite this setback with the first lap. I am glad that we were able to show a good result."
