Eight pilots received new powerplant components.
On Friday at Silverstone, the power unit components of eight drivers were changed. Carlos Sainz, Esteban Ocon, Oliver Berman, Pierre Gasly, Franco Colapinto, Sergio Perez, and Valtteri Bottas received new internal combustion engines and new turbines. Carlos Sainz and Pierre Gasly received new exhaust systems. New MGU-K motor-generators were given to Sainz, Ocon, Berman, Colapinto, Perez, and Bottas. Arvid Lindblad, Esteban Ocon, and Valtteri Bottas received new peripheral power unit components. All replacements were within the allowed limits, so none of the drivers were penalized.
