Christian Horner outlined the conditions for returning to Formula 1.

We quoted the words of FIA President Mohammed ben Sulayem, who said that Christian Horner would find a way to return to Formula 1. Now the former head of Red Bull Racing himself has commented for The Times on the conditions of his return to the paddock.

Christian Horner: "Every week someone speculates about where I might go. It's nice that people are still talking about me. Obviously, such discussions inevitably arise, but until recently, I couldn't take any action.

Now I am technically a free agent, and after leaving Red Bull, this has always been important to me. I didn't want to tie myself down with long-term commitments. I have no interest in just being another cog in a big machine.

I have more than proven what I am capable of, and if I return, it will only be in a role where I have the authority to change things, move the team forward, and fight for wins. I know that in any other situation, I would quickly start to feel frustrated.

If you don't have the opportunity to work for victory, then what is the point at all?"
