After leaving Red Bull in the middle of last summer, Christian Horner didn't waste the unexpected time he had on his hands, and among other things, he wrote a memoir. The autobiography is titled Drive and will hit the shelves of bookstores in the UK in October 2026.

The title of the book can be interpreted loosely, as this English word has many meanings. Aspiration, movement, a powerful charge of energy, motivation, zeal – these are just a few more or less suitable dictionary definitions, and a more precise understanding can only be gained after reading.

Pre-orders are already being accepted, aided by recent announcements revealing that Horner's memoirs are "exciting, candid, and uncompromising recollections of a period lasting over 20 years during which the author worked in Formula 1."

Another quote worth mentioning is: "Under Horner, the Red Bull team rewrote all the rules, broke long-standing records, won 14 championship titles, and created a global sports franchise now valued in the billions."

Undoubtedly, Christian Horner has much to remember and share, as his biography has had various chapters – he started as a driver whose career didn't take off, and then became the youngest team principal in Formula 1 history, achieving tremendous success in that role.

It will likely be particularly interesting to see how Horner describes the iconic figures from the F1 world he has worked with – Dietrich Mateschitz and Bernie Ecclestone, Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo – and of course, Max Verstappen.

One of the mottos of Red Bull Racing during Horner's time was roughly: "No risk, no fun." Anyone who has followed Formula 1 over the last quarter-century will agree that this motto perfectly characterizes the team, which under Christian won six Constructors' Championships. If the author has managed to candidly share what contributed to those successes and the sacrifices made to achieve the goal, then the reading promises to be quite captivating.

It is worth adding that the book has 320 pages and will be published by Penguin Books on October 22.
