Max Verstappen: I don't know where we stand compared to the others.

Max Verstappen showed the third fastest time in the second practice of the Belgian Grand Prix, trailing leader Kimi Antonelli by almost half a second. Nevertheless, the Red Bull Racing driver is quite satisfied with how Friday went and sees no problem with the absence of the rotating rear wing.

His teammate Isaac Hajar recorded the fifth fastest time, but the Frenchman didn't focus much on one-lap speed as he will lose positions at the start.

Max Verstappen (3rd): "Today went quite well. The balance was fine from the start. We just need to tweak the settings a bit to get more speed from the car. Honestly, considering the car we have at our disposal, it was a pretty good day.

The rear wing? It just opens differently now.

I don't feel any disappointment or anything like that – we had a good day, but I don't know where we stand relative to the others. Of course, in the second practice, the real gap became more obvious, but I hope we can improve a bit before qualifying."

Isaac Hajar (5th): "Today the car had good pace from the very first lap. It feels like we've made a step forward compared to Silverstone, which is positive. I felt confident and tried to maintain that mindset in the second practice.

In the second free practice session, the gap to the leaders increased, so we need to understand in which areas we can make up time. Overall, a good day – it's nice to be among the leaders."
