      In the second practice, the heat subsided, and the conditions were more like usual, but the traditional principle of Spa, that at least one session takes place in the rain, has not yet come true.

      It was warm and sunny again, although there were some issues – the session was interrupted by red flags, first due to too much gravel on the track, and then Pierre Gasly crashed his car – at the exit of turn 13. The Alpine driver was even sent to the medical center for a check-up, but he was fine.

      The first practice in Spa went smoothly. Teams and drivers worked through the traditional practice program in Spa, evaluating the performance of three different tire compounds. In Aston Martin, Fernando Alonso replaced Jack Crawford for one practice.

      For Piastri and Bortoleto, the practice ended early – due to car issues, Stroll had a camera detach from the front, and Max Verstappen set the best time – 1:47.070.
