The car has many long-awaited updates. It’s only Friday behind us; now we need to maintain this form on Saturday, as the situation can change in a day. I hope to be just as satisfied tomorrow. For me, this is the best Friday in a long time.”
Oliver Berman (15th): “It was a tough day for me. Compared to the stage in Spa, I just can’t feel the car here. I’ve almost completely lost the confidence I had just a few days ago. I need to find the reason and fix everything tomorrow.”
Rio Hirakawa (17th in the first session): “It’s great to be back behind the wheel. I started the session with aerodynamic tests, but there were fewer than in my previous first practice, which allowed me to work more with the car on the track.
The conditions were challenging; it was not easy to control the car. In the end, I managed to put in a few good laps. I had to pause a couple of times due to traffic, but in the end, I was able to warm up the tires and show a good time, which I’m very pleased with.”
