      Czech president Petr Pavel, a 64-year-old enthusiast of motorsport and photography, spent the Hungarian GP as an ordinary accredited photographer at the Hungaroring. He carried his own camera gear and captured images of the race from trackside, rather than merely attending in an official role. As reported by L’Equipe, Pavel received a warm welcome from FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem in the paddock but otherwise blended in with the circuit's usual photographers. The former chairman of NATO’s Military Committee also photographed the Le Mans 24 Hours in June and covered the Dakar Rally in 2025. Some of his Dakar photos were subsequently displayed at Prague’s National Technical Museum.
