Dodge is eager for you to feel enthusiastic about the new Charger, despite its challenging debut.
On Tuesday, Dodge teased what appears to be the comeback of the legendary Super Bee nameplate, slated for reveal on Friday, August 7, 2026, just prior to the automaker's 2026 Road Kill Night events, which promise a full weekend of burnouts, drag racing, and more.
The 15-second teaser video showcases a swarm of bees on a drag strip light tree, accompanied by a loud buzzing sound, and concludes with a song featuring the lyrics, "you know what it is, black and yellow, black and yellow."

The teaser video leaves little to interpretation regarding Dodge’s plans for the August 7 reveal.
Dodge indicated that the teaser is for the most powerful Charger equipped with a six-pack engine. This refers to a Charger that will feature a more potent turbocharged inline-six Hurricane engine. The current Charger Scat Pack with the high-output Hurricane turbo-six delivers 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque.
Dodge has been transparent about developing a more powerful Hurricane-powered Charger. In March, Dodge CEO Matt McLeary mentioned to The Drive, “We’re gonna keep pushing the limits of this engine [the Hurricane I6] to see its full potential.”
The Super Bee isn’t the only Bee nameplate to make a comeback under Stellantis this year. In May, the 2027 Ram SRT Rumble Bee was unveiled, featuring a 777-horsepower Hellcat-derived supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine.
The upcoming Charger Super Bee will undoubtedly utilize six cylinders rather than a Hemi V8; however, a Hemi is expected for the Charger in the future. Later in May, Stellantis announced an ambitious turnaround plan that includes 60 new vehicles and 50 updates by 2030. Among those is a new Charger SRT featuring a prominent rear wing reminiscent of the Superbird era, and it’s likely that a Hellcat-sourced Hemi will be under its hood.
For now, the Charger will not feature a Hemi, which will remain true next week, but the Super Bee is making its return for a new era.
