Valtteri Bottas explained the reason for the brake fire.

      At the recent Hungarian Grand Prix, Cadillac once again faced brake fires. After the race, Valtteri Bottas explained why the problem persists despite the updates prepared by the team to prevent fires.

      Valtteri Bottas: "The new front air ducts were supposed to solve the problem and prevent similar situations from happening again. But now it is clear that the brakes still lack cooling. This became evident after the race, although it should be noted that the conditions on the track were very challenging.

      The problem is that the brakes overheat to the point where everything inside starts to catch fire. After that, almost the entire system fails. Moreover, on the lap back to the pits, I completely lost the brakes because the fire damaged the brake lines. That's why I had to stop the car.

      I don't think we will have any serious updates by the time we get to Zandvoort. I hope we can prepare a solution specifically for the brakes, but don't expect updates related to the car's speed."
