Lindblad: I want to try my hand in the Supercars series.

Arvid Lindblad made a more than successful debut in Formula 1: in his very first Grand Prix at the Melbourne Albert Park circuit, the British Racing Bulls driver finished in 8th place. In the first 11 stages of the season, he finished in the top ten seven times, and a bright future is already predicted for him.

In three days, he will turn 19, and he truly has everything ahead of him, but he already knows what he wants to do after his Formula 1 career ends.

"Of course, I want my Formula 1 career to last a long time. I would like to compete in this championship for about 10 or 15 years," Arvid shared in an interview with Autosport. "But when this chapter ends, I will try to do something completely different.

I would like to spend a few seasons in IndyCar, and I also want to try my hand in the Australian touring car series Supercars, but I am interested in other types of motorsport as well. The racing world is huge."

Lindblad has already had the opportunity to drive Supercars, including in July at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where he drove a racing Ford Mustang from the Triple Eight Race Engineering team. Apparently, he enjoyed that experience.

"It was fun! The engine of this car has a magnificent, very loud sound, and it is very powerful. It has a sequential gearbox, so the gear shifts are just awesome!" he commented at the time.

Lindblad is characterized by a very correct psychological attitude and enviable confidence in his abilities, which, of course, helps him a lot in his debut season.

"Even when I was about five or six years old, I simply couldn't imagine my future without Formula 1," he continued. "I never entertained the thought that my dream might not come true. Perhaps this is also because I was never intimidated by the prospects that opened up and the expectations associated with them. Many are afraid to set great goals for themselves – to be honest, that's not me.

I have never felt the pressure that everyone talks about because I always tried to be honest with myself. If I'm not fast enough, then I'm only dissatisfied with myself. And that's not Red Bull's fault – it just means I didn't perform well enough.

Before I debuted in F1, everyone kept telling me that there is incredible pressure there. I'm sure there will come a time when I will feel it too, but to be honest, that’s not the case yet. I have worked my whole life to compete in this championship, and I am grateful to everyone who has helped me along the way, but now that my dream has come true, I am enjoying life – so why should I feel pressure?.."
