The FIA has confirmed the start time for the Bahrain Grand Prix, which has been decided to take place on the first weekend of October at the Malaysian circuit in Sepang. The race is scheduled for October 4, and its relocation to Malaysia is a necessary measure due to the complex political situation in the Middle Eastern countries. Thanks to the efforts of the FIA, as well as the governments of Bahrain and Malaysia, an agreement has been reached to hold this Grand Prix at a circuit well-known not only to long-time Formula 1 fans. Among the participants of the 2026 championship, both drivers currently racing for Aston Martin, namely Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, Nico Hülkenberg, Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly, Valtteri Bottas, Sergio Pérez, Carlos Sainz, and Max Verstappen, who won on October 1, 2017, when this race last took place, will be on the starting grid for the Malaysian Grand Prix. On the first Sunday of October, the race will start at 3 PM local time, which will be 10 AM in Moscow. Earlier, information about this had already appeared in the European press, but it is now officially confirmed.
