Hülkenberg: The goal is to earn points more often.

Nico Hülkenberg is one of the most experienced drivers in the championship, and only Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, and Sergio Perez have more starts than him. He turned 39 yesterday, so the German Audi driver can confidently be called a veteran of Formula 1.

He earned his first points of the year only in Hungary, where he finished 9th, but in Zandvoort, he stated that he now hopes to finish in the points more often.

Nico Hülkenberg: "Since the beginning of the season, we have had to overcome some difficulties, but this has brought everyone together. I think we have a sufficiently competitive car that allows us to compete with other mid-field teams, and we can foresee that the tight battle with Racing Bulls, Alpine, and sometimes, possibly, with some other teams will continue.

Of course, the goal is to earn points more often, more regularly. But overall, I am satisfied with the progress we have made this year. I feel that the development of the team continues in many areas, and we are already seeing signs of significant improvements. There is definitely always something to work on, and the tasks are increasing, but we are moving in the right direction.

The R26 car really has potential, and Audi F1 is a new team, and we are using power units of our own production for the first time, which were created from scratch in every sense.

Moreover, Audi engines are only on our two cars, while most other manufacturers supply their products to several teams. Therefore, we probably need more time to address priority tasks, but we have great potential, that’s for sure, and we are already largely focused on preparing for next year.

I think my teammate and I have always influenced and continue to have an important impact on the development of the team, and the information we provide is crucial in choosing areas that require special attention.

I believe the same happens in any new team, and ours is no exception. Therefore, together with Gabriel Bortoleto, we continue to work hard, trying to contribute to the common cause and help the team move forward as effectively as possible."
