Hadjar's absence could last beyond Zandvoort.
"We have no reason to take any risks with him."
Red Bull is still uncertain about how long Isack Hadjar will be out of action following a wrist injury he sustained while training during the summer break. Paddock rumors indicate that Hadjar might have hurt himself while hitting a heavy boxing bag, but Red Bull has not confirmed the exact details. Team principal Laurent Mekies mentioned that the injury is minor, yet Red Bull prefers to be cautious. "Isack is doing fine," said Mekies. "He incurred a minor injury while training during the summer break. We have no reason to take any risks with him."
"He has made a fantastic start to the season, showing consistent improvement each time he drives this car, session after session, weekend after weekend."
"We are taking zero risks; we will allow him to focus on his recovery this weekend, and hopefully, we will have him back in the car very soon." Liam Lawson will stand in for Hadjar at Red Bull in Zandvoort, while Yuki Tsunoda returns to Racing Bulls. Neither replacement driver is aware if their arrangement will extend beyond this weekend. "As far as I know, I’ll be in the car here at Zandvoort," Tsunoda informed RTBF. "What happens after that will depend on Isack's recovery. I'm uncertain about the next Grand Prix."
