Three racers received penalty points.

      Penalty points are rarely given by the stewards this year, but when they are, it's for serious violations. At 15:04 local time, Arvid Lindblad overtook Pierre Gasly, and Franco Colapinto overtook Yuki Tsunoda at the moment when double yellow flags were displayed on the track. For this, both received a 10-second penalty and two penalty points from the stewards. Liam Lawson received one penalty point for not moving slowly enough on the track under single yellow flags. Colapinto received the same punishment for a similar violation. Now Lindblad has two penalty points in the last 12 months, Lawson has three, and Colapinto has four.
