During the race weekend in Zandvoort, Nico Hülkenberg took this car for a spin on the racetrack, especially since some solutions tested in Formula 1 were used in the design of the RS 5. "It's impossible to take a V6 engine from a Formula 1 car and install it in a road car," commented Alan McNish, the racing director of the Audi team and a three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. "It functions differently, the working processes are different, and there is also a difference in the pace of its modernization. When the goal is to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible, it can be achieved either by increasing the engine's power, but at the same time, its efficiency must also be improved. If we recall the era when V10 engines were used in Formula 1 and how many times we changed engines during a season, it was just madness. In those times, everything was clearly in excess, including fuel consumption, but the approach to developing modern powertrains has completely changed. When it comes to racing, it's important to recharge the battery as quickly as possible and ensure it delivers energy faster. But the Formula 1 team, with its pursuit of maximum efficiency and speed, sets the standards that the entire company aspires to."
