McCallough will start working at Red Bull in 2027.
We wrote that Red Bull found a successor to Gianpiero Lambiase, who will soon leave the team and move to McLaren, and this has now been officially confirmed. Aston Martin engineer Tom McCullough will join Red Bull at the beginning of the next season, where he will take Lambiase's place as head of the racing division.
"We are pleased to welcome Tom to our team at the beginning of 2027. We expect that his experience and knowledge will help us achieve more," the team said in a statement.
Tom McCullough began his motorsport career at Reynard, worked at Sauber and Williams, then moved to Force India as chief race engineer and later as director of vehicle performance. In 2025, McCullough was appointed curator of non-Formula 1 projects at Aston Martin Performance Technologies, and he will now leave this position.
