Sebastian Vettel and Rubens Barrichello are set to drive Michael Schumacher’s iconic Ferrari F2002 at Monza this weekend to commemorate 30 years since the German’s arrival at Maranello. Ferrari has announced that Barrichello will take the wheel on Saturday afternoon. "The Brazilian shares a unique bond with this car and with Monza, having driven it to victory in the 2002 Italian Grand Prix," the team stated. Shortly before the race on Sunday, Vettel will then take over the car for a celebratory lap. "On Sunday, prior to the Grand Prix’s start, four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel will hit the track in the same car to celebrate Schumacher’s legacy." "For Seb, who idolized Michael while growing up before becoming a Ferrari driver himself, and for all the fans in the stands, it will be a particularly poignant moment." The F2002 was among Ferrari's most successful cars, clinching 15 out of 17 races in 2002, which enabled Schumacher to secure the drivers’ title with six races left to run. This demonstration is part of Ferrari’s broader Monza tribute, which also features a special Schumacher-themed livery for Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
